I am currently working with the Art Department and several classes of students at Martin Middle School to create a “Community Quilt” made from clay tiles. The students will make their mark on their tiles using found objects as well as stamps they have created themselves. Along the border of the “quilt” students will stamp words about character and strength in a number of languages that can be found spoken at Martin. We will ultimately install these tiles permanently in the halls of the school.
